Mr. Md. Rashadul Islam, former Director General (Grade-1) of NGO Affairs Bureau, Prime Minister's Office of Bangladesh joined this organization in 2022. He joined in government service as a member of BCS (Administration) cadre on 20 December, 1989. He previously held several important positions during 32 years of his career in the public service. He served as Additional Secretary of ICT Division, Secretary (Joint Secretary) of Bangladesh Climate Change Trust, Ministry of Environment and Forests, Deputy secretary of the Ministry of Home affairs. Prior to these, Mr. Islam worked for the government as a Senior Assistant Secretary/ Assistant Secretary for the different Ministries and Divisions including the President’s Office of the Republic.
Mr. Islam an Economist, pursued both of his Bachelor and Master of Social Science Degrees in Economics from the Department of Economics, University of Dhaka. Besides, he completed MBA (Major in Finance) from Northern University, Bangladesh. Mr. Islam has excelled in completing a Diploma on Public Health Leadership in Climate Change Adaptation for Vulnerable Populations Professional Development Program from the Griffith University of Australia. He participated many Training sessions, Seminars, Workshops and Study Tours in home and abroad as part of his broad employment track. He visited many countries of the world as part of this, including India, Nepal, Bhutan, Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam, China, Japan, Norway, Belgium, France, Poland, Morocco, United Kingdom, Germany, the United States of America, UAE etc.
Mr. Siddiqui has been working as an Environment, Climate Change and Social Development professional for around ten years. Worked closely with MoEFCC and its agencies for institutional development, administration and finance. Participated in several environmental impact assessment, market survey, project evaluation and assessment of quality standards for agricultural commodities. Developed expertise on climate change adaptation through research and documentation. Skilled in developing concept notes and ToRs, engagement with consultants, organizing trainings, workshops and data collection. He obtained MBA, M.com and L.L.B Degree from reputed universities.
Md. Kamruzzaman is among the pioneers in Bangladesh working on farmers’ right and sustainable agricultural practices. He is a trained advocate of Farmers’ led approaches and worked with globally renowned expert Mr. Emmanuel Yap. Mr. Zaman has formal training on Participatory Variety Selection (PVS) and scaling up and has implemented several successful participator variety selection schemes across the country. He worked on endogenous livestock development and fisheries. He has contributed in development of various training manuals and reports on sustainable agriculture, biodiversity conservation, and livestock from BARCIK. He completed his Master of Science in Geography from Jahangirnagar University, Bangladesh.
Mr. Zaman has evaluated different projects on Caritas Bangladesh, Manusher Jonno Foundation (MJF), Family Planning Association of Bangladesh, Swallows India-Bangladesh, PKSF, IRRI as external evaluator and lead consultant. He has conducted studies for SEHD, BARCIK, CCDB, UNIDO, DAE, IUCN and Plan International Bangladesh.
Mr. Sarker is working as an Admin and Accounts Officer at ECSDI. His core functional area is finance and admin division. He holds a master`s degree in Accounting. Throughout a professional career of 20 years he has been involved with a number of national development organizations. He has practical experience of financial management, electronic financial software, general administration, research and survey, logistical supplies and event management at national and local level, where his contribution has been well recognized. He also completed L.L.B and L.L.M degree.
Azme Chowdhury is working in ECSDI as a Program Officer since 2017. She did her masters in Political since. She has over 5 years of experience on Managing Survey and event management. She completed her post-graduation degree in Political since from Jagannath University. She is well convergent on data collection monitoring and quality control systems at the field level. She is experienced on communicating and leading different stakes and event. She is also skilled in process documentation. She is also working with the ECSDI research team and familiar with development of data collection tools and programming application.
Md. Badrul Alam Lohani is working in ECSDI as a Program Officer since 2021. He did his masters in Computer Application Technology from Changzhou University, China. He completed her graduation degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) from Stamford University, Bangladesh. He has over four years of experience. He is well convergent on data collection, monitoring and quality control systems at the field level and experienced on communicating and leading different stakes and event. he is also skilled in process documentation and ICT. he is also working with the ECSDI research team and familiar with development of data collection tools and programming application.
Somaiya Executive (Admin and accounts) at ECSDI. She has been working at ECSDI since 2017. She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Finance from Ishakha International University Bangladesh University. Her core functional area is accounts and management division. She has practical experience of accounting management, electronic accounting software, general administration and research and survey where her contribution has been well recognized.
Ibrahim Khalil is a master’s student at Department of Sociology in University of Dhaka, Bangladesh. He is an enthusiastic Research Associate (Part time) and a volunteer of this institution; he has recently done Bachelor Hons in Sociology from the University of Dhaka. He has been working in the field of climate change for the last 3 years in different projects as a Associate of this institution. Apart from this, Ibrahim has a variety of experiences of working with different sector as a Associate, group moderator and data enumerator as well as i. e. family planning, gender analysis study, World Bank perception survey; in both qualitative and quantitative method under some eminent professors and researchers of University of Dhaka. He has done his thesis paper in a contemporary issue ‘Secularism and its Practice in Bangladesh” that is a qualitative study. Along with it, he also worked as a Associate of a Statistics expert which includes using of SPSS software and data analysis.
