Ibrahim Khalil

Ibrahim Khalil is a master’s student at Department of Sociology in University of Dhaka, Bangladesh. He is an enthusiastic Research Associate (Part time) and a volunteer of this institution; he has recently done Bachelor Hons in Sociology from the University of Dhaka. He has been working in the field of climate change for the last 3 years in different projects as a Associate of this institution. Apart from this, Ibrahim has a variety of experiences of working with different sector as an Associate, group moderator and data enumerator as well as i. e. family planning, gender analysis study, World Bank perception survey; in both qualitative and quantitative method under some eminent professors and researchers of University of Dhaka. He has done his thesis paper in a contemporary issue ‘Secularism and its Practice in Bangladesh” that is a qualitative study. Along with it, he also worked as a Associate of a Statistics expert which includes using of SPSS software and data analysis.

Shariful Islam

Shariful Islam (Salman Sami) is ‍active and smart volunteer of ECSDI. Currently working as an interviewer under a project jointly conducted by University of Cambridge, University of Manchester, University of Sydni and University of Dhaka. Project name is Business diaries (June-July 2019). Using very high potential data collecting methods with Smart tablet, smart ring and CommCare apps. He also worked as an enumerator at ECSDI (April-May 2019). Under a project of Climate Change Adaptation part of the 'strength civil society and public institution to combat gender-based violence and build community resilience to adapt climate change impact ' by Manusher jonno foundation (MJF). He dealt this project with more than twenty FGD as a note taker and field data collection from costal, char and hill areas. He worked as a team moderator at Nielsen Bangladesh LTD (March 2019) under a project name “Obiridh national youth survey in Bangladesh” conducted five qualitative research FGD and 1 IDI. Input all the data using Google Drive and Excel sheet .Shariful Islam also worked as a research assistance at Bangladesh Institute of Development Studies (BIDS) 2018. He conducted fifteen interviews for qualitative research. Project name is Effects of smartphone on teenagers. He got certified jointly ICT Division of Bangladesh & Google giants on a course name “App monetization & Project management” in 2018, certified by the workshop on social scientific writings (2017). He worked as a field data collector and learned SPSS data impute methods with a thesis based research named “Daily nutrition of street children” in  2017, organized by SAJSS (South Asian Journal of Social Sciences), Visitor of DYCS (DMP Youth Cooperation Series), organized by Asia Foundation (2016).  Shariful Certified by the Workshop on Research Methodology (2016), organized by South Asian Youth Research Initiatives for Development (SAYRID). He Worked as an enumerator of Climate Change Project with ECSDI organized by PKSF (2016).

He can communicate with four languages English, Chinese, Bangla and Hindi as first language & Hindi as well. Recently He completed BSS in Sociology from University of Dhaka.

Nishat Tasnim Koli

As a potential young volunteer and Associate Nishat Tasnim Koli has been working as a field data collector from about two years. She has done her BSS in Sociology from University of Dhaka. She has the experience of working in both quantitative and qualitative research methodology, data collection, data analysis and report writing. She has experiences of working as a moderator of Gender Analysis Project of ACDI-VOCA, organized by NIELSEN Bangladesh, as an Interviewer of World Bank Country Survey-2016 with NIELSEN Bangladesh and as a data collector at SUKHI JIBON project-2019 accelerated by USAID and collected data about training needs assessment among family planning service provider.

Shakibul Hasan

Hasan is a potential and active young team member of ECSDI. He has been working in the field of public health and climate change sectors for three years. He has done his BSS in sociology from university of Dhaka. Currently he is a master’s student in sociology. He has the experience of working both quantitative and qualitative research methodology, data collection, data analysis and report writing. He completed a course on Research paradigms and advanced research methodology in arts and social science (2017), (CARASS) university of Dhaka. He is an executive member of Dhaka university research society. He worked as a research assistant in different research projects, he worked in Shukhijibon project conducted by pathfinder and intra health international (USAID). Worked on several climate change adaptation project as a associate/enumerator. He Worked as data collector of a project of World Bank, WBPS-2017. He also worked as a data collector in a number of NGOs research projects. He has done a thesis on effects and spread of cyber bullying among the students on Dhaka city. Currently he is working as an associate of a project on climate changes effects on Bangladesh.

Ridwanul Hoque

Hoque is a fresh graduate who is fond of working as a data enumerator and team member of event management. He is eagerly waiting to grab opportunity and passionate about research. He has Finished BSS in Sociology from University of Dhaka and has done his monograph on "Socio-Economic Impacts of Refugees in Cox's Bazaar". He has the experience of working in both quantitative and qualitative research methodology, data collection, data analysis and report writing. He is a primary level user of SPSS data analysis software. Currently he is a MSS student of Sociology at university of Dhaka.

Sharmin Yasmin

Yasmin is an expert enumerator and active young volunteer of ECSDI. He has been working as a field enumerator and team member of event management team for last three years in various project and organizations. She has recently done her BSS in Sociology from University of Dhaka and current student of MSS of Dhaka University. She has the experience of working in both quantitative and qualitative research methodology, data collection, data analysis and report writing, which has strengthened her hand completing her thesis in Quantitative method. She has experiences of working as a moderator of Gender Analysis Project of ACDI-VOCA, as an Interviewer of World Bank Perception Survey-2016 and as a data collector at SUKHI JIBON project-2019 accelerated by USAID and collected data about training needs assessment among family planning service provider.

Shraosy Anonna Chaity

As a potential young energetic and brilliant volunteer of ECSDI. She has done her BSS and MSS in Sociology from University of Dhaka and has done her monograph paper about social change due to information technology in Bangladesh. She has the experience of working in both quantitative and qualitative research methodology, data collection, data analysis and report writing. She also has the experience of working in event managing in various events.

Maria Afroj

Afroj is one of the potential young research Associate and active Volunteer of ECSDI. She has been working as a field researcher and data collector from about two years. She has done her BSS in Sociology from University of Dhaka. She has the experience of working in both quantitative and qualitative research methodology, data collection, data analysis and report writing. She also working   She has done a research work for her academic purposes by using qualitative methodology named "Violence Against Women in Public Transport in Dhaka City". She has a lot of experiences of working as a moderator of Gender Analysis Project of ACDI-VOCA, organized by NIELSEN Bangladesh, as an interviewer of World Bank Country Survey- 2016 with NIELSEN Bangladesh. She is now working with Dhaka University Research Society (DURS) as a Secretary of Project Management. She is a member of ECSDI event management team. She Participated several event as a team member.

Shohag Miah

Shohag Miah as a student of Sociology (MSS) very much eager to learn new social fact and the reasons behind all the facts, Shohag has been working as field enumerator in the field of climate change in remote areas in agriculture sectors, World Bank Bangladesh country survey, organizing events at University campus for four years.  He has done his BSS in Sociology and MSS is running at University of Dhaka and has done a Research Monograph in Influence of Facebook on young people of University of Dhaka. He has the experience of working in both qualitative and quantitative research methodology, data collection, data analysis and report writing. He is an advanced user of SPSS. He is a regular volunteer of ECSDI.

Moinul Islam Nayan

Nayan is a active and expert enumerator and volunteer of ECSDI since 2015. He worked Nielsen Bangladesh for (1) World Bank Country Survey-2016 (2) Gender Analysis Study: Feed the Future Bangladesh Livestock Production for Improved Nutrition Project (LPIN)- conducted by ACDI-VOCA. (3) End-line Evaluation of Behavioural Change Communication Project (BCCP) (4) ‘ICT based response and support mechanism to address Violence against women and girls’- conducted by Acid Survivors Foundation (ASF) (5) Endline Survey of Community Led Outreach on Unsafe Migration: The research was conducted by International Organization for Migration (IOM). (6) Survey on Cost of Payment 2018- Conducted by Bangladesh Bank & World Bank  and Bangladesh Institute of Development Studies (BIDS):- 02/2018 – 03/2018 How Teenagers Use Smart Phone to Exercise Freedom in Dhaka City as a Research Assistant.

He also worked as an enumerator with ECSDI, Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board for survey data collection.  Recently He participate DYCS-(DMP Youth Cooperation Series) and YASC-(Youth as Agents of Social Change) as a Visitor & Moderator. Those program organized by Asia Foundation.

He has completed his BSS in Sociology from University of Dhaka and current student of MSS of Dhaka University.

MD Sala Uddin (Salman)

As a dynamic young and active volunteer of ECSDI. He is active in field research for 4 years. He has accomplished his Bachelor degree from the Department of Sociology, University of Dhaka. Prior to this work, he worked as Research officer at Bangladesh Institute of Development Studies(BIDS) with SM Zulfiqar Ali, Harunur Rashid Bhuiyan from BIDS, Geof wood and Joe Devine from University of Bath wherein the issue was Poverty alleviation before and after the 7th five year plan been adopted: A comparative Review.  He has prepared his Research Monograph on “Effects of Migration on Rural Women: A Study in Migrated Slum Dwelling Women in Dhaka”. He is proficient in both quantitative and qualitative research methodology, data collection, data translation and report writing. He has accomplished STATA (a research tool) course. He also worked with different organisations like The Nielsen company Bangladesh, Secondary and higher Secondary Education Board- Dhaka, Acid Survivors Foundation(ASF), International Organisation for Migration(IOM) and Transparency International Bangladesh (TIB). He has participated in different national and international conferences and also involved in diversified voluntary activities. He involved with ECSDI around four years.
